How To Tell If A Domain Has Fake PageRank
There is concern that some of the domains being displayed here have faked PageRank. After visiting and seeing comments at a recent post at domainleft.com, I thought it would be prudent to make a post here so you all can check to see if the domain you want has faked PageRank.
From DropHistory.com who left the first comment:
“Here is a quick tip for checking for valid page rank. Since fake high page rank is created by forwarding to high PR sites, google will not index pages from forwarding sites.
Do a google search for info:suspecteddomain.com and if it comes up with a result showing a link to the index page of the domain, then the PR should be good. If nothing comes up then chances are the PR is faked…”
Abdul, who runs DomainLeft.com where the post is, then offered a link to a great post he made about checking for faked PageRank - I suggest you read it rather than me make a whole post about this issue!
